Website Help for Restaurants and Takeaways
1 min readWebsites
A restaurant or takeaway website has one job: help a hungry customer find the menu, the hours, the location and a way to order or book. Everything else is secondary.
What actually matters
- Menu and prices — current and readable on a phone.
- Opening hours — accurate, including holidays.
- Contact — phone, address and a clear way to reach you.
- Location — an embedded map or clear address.
- Mobile — most customers are on a phone.
- Ordering links — links to the platforms you actually use, not ones you do not.
- Photos — real photos of the food and space.
- Forms — a working enquiry or booking form.
- Domain — a sensible address and correct DNS.
What we do not overclaim
We do not claim to build integrations we do not actually support. If you use a specific ordering or reservation platform, we work with what that platform provides rather than promising a custom integration that may not exist.
Small fixes versus a new site
An outdated menu, wrong hours or a broken form is a content or small-fix job. A site that was never mobile-friendly may genuinely need a rebuild. We recommend the smaller change when it is enough.
